Garlic - Nature's Antibiotic
As well as a delicious addition to enhance the flavour of your meals, research and experience has proven garlic is a super food for many ailments. Garlic is a highly antibacterial, antiparasitic, anti viral and antifungal food. It is particularly healing and cleansing for our bodies and I experienced this first hand a few weeks ago.
On our trip to Thailand, I unfortunately experienced heavy abdominal discomfort from something I had eaten. After incorporating a dose of garlic in my salads over the course of a day, my problem disappeared that same day. Garlic helps eliminate toxins from the body and is very good for eradicating viruses and bacteria and as a pure pro-biotic, promotes the growth of healthy intestinal flora in the gut. Garlic is also great for eliminating worms and yeasts (pets will benefit from garlic too for this, also repelling fleas and promoting a healthy gut).
If you experience a sore throat, an infection or sinus congestion, garlic is a powerful natural healer as it acts as a decongestant and it is anti inflammatory as well as boosts your immune system, it really works and to me, beats an antibiotic any day, not only no side effects, it has continuous benefits and its cheaper too! (You body also doesn’t build up a resistance to garlic over time.)
Mince it up and add it to your salad dressings, dips or vegetables, even when you’re feeling great, for all over healthy benefits! Fresh will provide you with more benefit than garlic tablets, if you don’t enjoy the taste, try in small doses, my favourite is to add to a mashed avocado with olive oil, and you will enjoy the benefits it provides.
